The influence of cylinders in tandem arrangement on unsteady aerodynamic loads

This paper presents an experimental study on the unsteady pressure loading for two circular cylinders in tandem arrangement Reynolds number subcritical regime. Experiments were conducted heavily instrumented cylinders, each with multiple static and dynamic sensor devices positioned at various peripheral spanwise locations, enabling extensive surface pressure, coherence, turbulence length-scale analysis. Results show that root-mean-squared magnitude of distribution results is much larger rear cylinder than front cylinder.
